I caught this little video of Eli watching Dulce outside. He kept saying, “Duce, woof, woof!” (his Dulce sounds more like dooce
) It was SO adorable I had to share it! Our little boy is growing up so fast. He is a toddler on the move who is so full of life! He’s such an incredible blessing to us.

In two days, our little boy will officially be 14 months old! He is now walking, which has been so exciting. Yes, he gets into everything now. But, I’m learning how to close doors behind me and double check for child locks on the cabinets! I took a video of him yesterday that was so cute. Just thought I’d share it, as well as a few recent picks.

Well, our little boy is officially a toddler! He started really walking this week. It’s so fun to see him making his way around the house. I’m still trying to figure out how to direct him where I need him to go, when he’s walking away from me! He’s definitely a little boy on a mission these days- or on many missions all day long! Here is a video of his progress:

I had never seen this. My wife says it’s old. I laughed so hard, thought you would enjoy it.
I just shot a brief, and pretty rough :), video of Eli learning how to walk. He’s so stinkin cute! Just thought I’d share it with you all.
Well, it has begun. The Church is being the Church all around the country. The Life Church of Memphis has partnered with Healing Place Church and hundreds of other churches to serve our communities. For seven days we will infiltrate our communities with acts of service. Pretty cool to partner with so many to show the love of Christ in practical ways. No strings attached. No agenda. Just loving and serving. Pretty awesome. No great force that can make a difference on the earth today than the Local Church. Check it out: servolution.org.
Our little family has been enjoying all the blessings that life has to offer! Eli is now 13 months old and he’s SO much fun! He loves to giggle, talk, dance, and do so many fun tricks! He’s so smart and seems to learn quickly. I’ve been teaching him sign language and it seems like he learns a new sign everyday. His favorite is “drink”. He also signs “help”, “all done” and “eat”. It’s the cutest! He still isn’t walking yet. I’m starting to feel ready for this new milestone to come, now that he’s weighing more! Here are a few pics we’ve taken recently.

eli in his new radio flyer car
On Feb 25 our boy will be one year old! How time flies. This picture is of him in his new radio flyer car that he got for his birthday. It was a fun weekend, as both grandmothers were in town and a lot going on at church. In the middle of it all we had a little birthday party for Eli. He is so cute and such a blessing. Below is a video of his first cake. Enjoy.

our church has an awesome conference to share ideas on how to make room in our churches and impact our cities. last year we had about 200 pastors and leaders from 9 different states. believing this year is going to be even better.
check out this video about it: make room
One of Eli’s little habits is climbing into our baskets that are under our coffee table. We pull them out so he can’t escape from the living room area, but he ends up climbing in them and getting stuck. This video is of him doing just that…but as a extra feature, he is a little sick, so his facial expressions are pretty funny! We’re not cruel parents, just had to capture this memorable moment. Enjoy.
man, sometimes you find some weird things online. this one is pretty funny. the story ends pretty good, that is why I’m posting it on our web. watch it all the way through. hilarious.
Hello Everyone!
Only one more month and our little boy will have his first birthday. I can’t believe it! Time seems to have flown by this year. He is definitely in a fun stage. He’s beginning to learn so many things so quickly. He recently learned how to roar like a lion, give kisses, clap, wave and blow on his food when it’s too hot! My favorite, though, has been watching him learn how to stand on his own!! It’s been so cute. I bought him this big ball that he loves to play with. For our game, he stands up using the ball to balance at first and then lets go and stands on his own. He always does it with the biggest smile and cutest “Ahhh” noises and then he falls back forward onto the ball and I give him lots of kisses and clap for him. It’s so much fun. Very entertaining :). He is now eating everything that we eat, which has been nice. I made all of my own baby food, so it was a lot of work, but definitely worth it (and a world of difference from the store bought version!) He isn’t a picky eater, thus far, so I’m hoping that continues. I actually took a picture of him eating brussels sprouts. I couldn’t believe he liked them (I put the recipe on my recipe blog www.mandasrecipecollection.blogspot.com). We have begun the weaning process, so I’m hoping in a few more weeks that he will be completely weaned. I’m taking it slow, one day at a time, trying to be patient and flexible (not always easy for me). We are definitely blessed to have such an amazing little person to share our lives with. He is so precious to us and such a joy. Life was never as exciting without him.
I’ve posted his recent pictures. They aren’t extremely artistic this go around, because he is so active these days. It’s a lot harder catching good shots of him! But, I caught fun moments that I think you’ll enjoy.
Amanda has hit the big times… well, not really but she did make it in the paper for her cooking. Our good friend, Paige Lord, submitted Amanda as a home cook for a section in the newspaper that usually features chefs and cooks from Memphis. Manda is not an official chef, but she can throw down for sure. I get to enjoy all her experiments and tasty creations. I’m so proud of her, she is amazing.
Memphis is a great place to live if you enjoy experiencing all 4 seasons. Every winter, we usually have at least one decent snow fall (which means one hopeful snow day for schools!) Today was one of those fun days! Thankfully, most of the ice missed us and we caught about an inch of powdery white snow. It’s been so cold today that it hasn’t melted yet (it’s about 11:00 right now), so I’m enjoying the scenery outside of my windows. We took Eli outside this morning to experience touching snow for the first time. It was cute to watch him inspect the white stuff on his fingers.
